pages of comfort program
Pages of Comfort is a creative volunteer program dedicated to bringing joy, comfort, and connection to pediatric patients through storytelling. Volunteers work in teams of three to brainstorm, write, and illustrate original, age-appropriate books designed to entertain, uplift, and inspire children in hospital settings.
From the first idea to the final page, each book is fully created by student volunteers and professionally printed. This fall semester 2025, we’re proud to be donating over 120 books to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Cancer Center — a milestone that reflects the power of compassion, creativity, and teamwork.
But this program is more than just book-making, it’s about building empathy and making a real impact. In many cases, VOLUNTEERS also have the opportunity to personally read their books to the children receiving them, turning each story into a memorable connection.
Whether you're a writer, artist, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, Pages of Comfort is the perfect space to use your creativity for a cause that truly matters.
